Cravings and not

Cravings so far…

Apple juice (haven’t really drank it since I was a kid)

Werther’s Hard Candy (again, something my grandmother used to keep around the house but I haven’t had in years)

Things that haven’t sounded good…

Mexican food (which is odd because previously I could have eaten it twice a day)

Happily The Nugget is still a fan of bacon. That’s how I know it’s my child.

International Bacon Day

I'm celebrating... how about you? I think I shall go on a bacon cooking extravaganza - we got a bunch of good recipes from the Beer and Bacon Shower - It's time to whip them out.

If they had a country I'd move there...

I may have, once or twice, mentioned how much I like bacon.

Found the best article today. Click here to read.

Dear Republic of Bacon,

You are my hero.

Love,

Beer & Bacon

Some of themanfolk's really good friends are throwing us a wedding shower tomorrow. The theme: Beer and Bacon.

I know that they have been his friends for years (forever really - they are a second family), but they must really love me because those are two of my very very favorite things.

I'm super excited. mmmm.... bacon....

Scooter Store and the Fountain of Youth

My mom got a letter from the scooter store the other day - my middle brother and I giggled for a good 40 minutes. She says it is because she is old, we told her that doesn't happen until she turns 70 so she isn't allowed to call herself old until then. But really, the Scooter Store? A little premature for a woman with no medical issues except high blood pressure (which I am pretty sure my brothers did to her).

One more to go...

Second to last weigh in and I was down the three pounds that I gained on the cruise. Which is shocking considering during this timeframe we had thanksgiving and the manfolk introduced me to fried spam and waffles for breakfast.

Yum.

And no, I am not cheating on bacon.

Anatomy of a cruise

I mentioned previously our room assignment for the cruise... well I have had a moment to go ahead and lay out some of the best things on the boat and the route to them (follow the purple line).

And yes I had a little time on my hands earlier.

Turtle burgers

Bacon! Beef! Cheese! Bacon! Turtles!! Some of my favorite things!

The manfolk sent me this and it makes me want to go buy a grill just to try to make them. Sweet sweet lovin.

Diet Clarification

Oh and just because the cruise falls in the middle of this competition doesn't mean I will be holding back on the bacon or soft serve while on board. Not doing my due bacon diligence would just be disgraceful.

One exciting thing

One exciting thing about crusin' is bacon. All you can eat bacon.

I heart bacon.

Bacon makes everything better (I have a shirt that says so).

24 hour soft serve is awesome too.

I am excited.

Soft food

There is only so much soft food in the world. I have another week of soft food, and not all soft food works.

Pudding = soft
Meatballs = not soft enough until just yesterday
Bread = not soft
Mashed potatoes= soft

And the list goes on and on.

Honestly I miss bacon.

Decided that alcohol was a soft food the other day so that has been a good reintroduction.
